My Journey

"There is an exceptional leader in every person – often just waiting to unlock their full potential."

Born in 1976 in Munich, I now live with my family in the Achental region near Chiemsee. After completing my degree in Business Information Systems at Julius Maximilian University of Wuerzburg, my journey into the world of leadership and transformation began.

After several years in corporate leadership roles – including as part of BMW's leadership development program – I became self-employed in 2008 as a consultant and external advisor.

What drives me? The deep conviction that good leadership can be learned – and that most leadership problems are not people problems, but system problems.

Today I work as an Executive Coach, organizational consultant, and author. My book "The Emperor Effect" summarizes what I have learned in over 12,000 hours of Executive Coaching & Advisory.

"Know Yourself"

This inscription at the Temple of Apollo in Delphi from the 5th century BC is the core of my work: self-knowledge through self-reflection. Only those who know their own blind spots can overcome them. Every change begins with yourself.

My Understanding

Why I Am a Coach

"Coaching is not a method to me – it is a calling. The commitment to accompany people on their path to excellence and personal fulfillment."

What drives me is a deep trust in the untapped potential in every person and every team.

My Vision of Coaching

To me, coaching is an exclusive, judgment-free space – free from internal politics and agendas – where transformative growth becomes possible. In this space, I serve as an external mirror that enables clients to see both the challenges and opportunities of their reality more clearly.

My philosophy is client-centered: The answers already lie within you. My role is to facilitate self-awareness, reflection, and decisive action – and meaningful self-actualization.

Ethical Commitment

The ICF Code of Ethics is an integral part of my practice. It means upholding confidentiality, integrity, unconditional respect, and client autonomy in every interaction. I continuously reflect on my ethical obligations and hold myself accountable for creating trustworthy spaces where vulnerability and growth are possible.

"Effective coaching means holding up the mirror, asking challenging questions, and empowering others to become the best version of themselves – even when that reveals what is hard to see. That is my promise and my ongoing commitment."

Personal

Beyond Coaching

I live with my family in the Achental region near Lake Chiemsee, surrounded by mountains and nature. Early-morning walks with our three dogs in the hills are one of my daily rituals – they give me both strength and calm, and our three cats complete the "pack" at home.

A central part of my free time is spent with my two horses: I practice classical horsemanship and in-hand work, and I am deepening my understanding of the Masterson Method™ – a manual, body-oriented approach to equine well-being – as well as principles of osteopathy and tensegrity. This quiet, attentive work with animals constantly reminds me what it means to meet another being with respect, clarity, and humility.
